Nero’s Heating & Air was founded in 2019 to bring something better to the HVAC industry across Maryland and the greater DMV. Too many homeowners were left dealing with cold nights, long wait times, or sky-high service bills—while big-name companies prioritized sales over real solutions. Delayed responses, patchwork fixes, and lack of transparency had become the standard.
But we knew it didn’t have to be that way.

Our Founder
Julian Jones
Meet Julian Jones, the founder behind Nero’s Heating & Air. With over 18 years of hands-on HVAC experience, Julian combines deep technical knowledge with a true dedication to doing right by his customers. His career began in 2007 at one of the largest HVAC contractors in the DC region, where he worked his way through nearly every role—from answering service calls to handling complex system installs and field operations.
Through years in the industry, Julian saw the same issue time and again: customers left waiting, overpaying, or unsure who to trust. He knew there had to be a better way. In 2019, he launched Nero’s Heating & Air with a mission to bring fast, honest, and straightforward HVAC service to homeowners across DC, Maryland and Virginia. Unique in the HVAC industry, Julian studied electrical engineering at Howard University — giving him the technical background
Today, Julian leads Nero’s with the same hands-on approach that motivated him on day one. He still picks up the phone, helps customers weigh their options, and ensures every service call reflects the values he built the company on: reliability, integrity, and real expertise. Outside the field, Julian also speaks to trade school students, encouraging the next generation to take pride in the craft.
