Gas equipment follows a different path. A furnace or boiler can require permitting, and the utility involved may vary by address. Washington Gas serves many parts of Northern Virginia, while Columbia Gas of Virginia serves others.
The permit office changes by jurisdiction, too. Alexandria, Falls Church, Fairfax, and Manassas Park handle their own permitting, while some towns add another approval step. We check what applies to your address, handle the permits tied to our work, and make sure the paperwork is in place before installation begins.
Virginia's Home Energy Rebates are run by Virginia Energy, rather than by Dominion Energy Virginia or Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative. The program has not opened yet, and Virginia Energy says the rebates cannot be applied retroactively, so a system installed before launch will not qualify later.
