Water Heater Services

No hot water, or hot water that runs out halfway through a shower, is the usual reason people call about a water heater. Water heater repair and replacement covers both tank and tankless units, sized to the household rather than to the old label.

Indoor Air Quality Services

When the temperature is right but the house still feels wrong, the problem is usually moisture or what is moving through the ducts. Our indoor air quality specialists clean ductwork and fit whole-home humidifiers and dehumidifiers.

What the County Needs Before a New System Runs

Prince George's County requires a mechanical permit when a furnace, air conditioner, heat pump or boiler is installed or replaced. The application is filed through the county's online permit system, and access is limited to licensed HVAC contractors registered with the county.

That paperwork is part of our installation process. We file the permit before the replacement begins, provide the equipment and system information the county requires, and carry the permit through the required final inspection.

Most Upper Marlboro addresses are handled through Prince George's County. If the property falls inside the Town of Upper Marlboro, we also check whether the project requires any town-level building permit requirements. That way, you are not left figuring out which jurisdiction applies.

What Can Come Off the Price, and When to Ask

Rebates

Incentives are easier to catch before a system is chosen than after it is sitting outside. Maryland runs them through EmPOWER Maryland, with Pepco administering the residential side, and what qualifies is set by the efficiency of the unit going in.

Our installation team goes over what currently applies when they come out to quote, so the incentive and the equipment are weighed in the same conversation.

Financing

A failing system rarely waits for a convenient month, and paying for a new one in a single go is not always realistic. Financing makes it possible to spread that cost over time, and our office can set the options out against your estimate so you can see the monthly figure before committing to anything.

Questions Upper Marlboro Homeowners Ask

It can. Designated properties need a Historic Area Work Permit for exterior changes, which affects where an outdoor unit may sit. We check the designation before quoting rather than after.

It can. The county lists hundreds of structures near the Western Branch as flood prone, and an 89 square mile watershed drains past here, so height becomes part of the specification.

Not everywhere. Washington Gas covers the county, but service thins on the larger lots away from the older core. Worth confirming for your street before planning a conversion.

Sometimes. Ducts sized for a smaller original system can limit what a new one delivers, so we measure what is already there before recommending equipment rather than after.

Sometimes. Where a single system cannot hold both floors evenly, a second zone or a ductless head for the rooms that struggle is often cheaper than oversizing the whole thing.
